Getting Around

Selby is a one-way street.  Subway (Toronto Transit Commission – TTC) is the easiest way to get around Toronto, using either the underground subway or the connecting buses. The closest subway stop is called “Sherbourne” and is located on the corner of Sherbourne St. and Bloor St. (one block East and North of 9 Selby). The Bloor subway line only goes East or West, The Yonge subway line only goes North and South, so it is easy to orient as these lines only intersect for direction changes at three stations. Many points of interest are a nice 30 minute walk away.

Parking on the street is pay-as-you-go at the meter (no parking overnight unless you purchase a permit). OR you can purchase a multiple day pass/permit from the City of Toronto. If you are unable to find a spot in front of the house, continue to the end of the street and turn left on Huntley and/or left again on Linden to look for a spot. Search Toronto Visitor Temporary Parking Permits to purchase this pass/permit.

The permit has to be printed, so you can print it before coming into town or if you have a rental car and don't know the license plate, there is a printer available in the post office across the street.

There are also two private parking lots on Selby Street with decent rates (one underground).
